About Us

PATHs (Purposeful Action to Heal) is the action-in-the-world arm of The Motherline. The Motherline is a group of (mostly) moms who gather each week for our shared art practice of dancing. We are local business owners, farmers, homesteaders, parents, and activists. We share a common belief that our Mother Earth urgently needs our help to stop some of the human practices that most harm the water, soil, and air that we all rely upon.

A defining aspect of The Motherline’s work is that we engage in a shared weekly movement practice, from which we strengthen our communication and community. This inter-generational dance class is the genesis point for our efforts organizing around the premise that “all flourishing is mutual”.

We’ve also recently finished “The Motherground”, a 5-song piece surrounding our healing and growth as women, in the context of healing for our planet.

The Motherline offers workshops and makes dance films for the purpose of galvanizing community action toward earth and climate protection. Learn more and sign up to join us, here!

The Motherline is a founding partner in Cave Junction’s Rural Reciprosperity. Rural Reciprosperity is a vision held by 8 local collaborating organizations to move from a boom and bust culture of extraction toward one of reparation and restoration.  Within the context of Rural Reciprosperity, we are working to expand the economic opportunities that are available in our area, with opportunities that make the region and the world a better place. We see our PATHs work as a key part of Rural Reciprosperity.
