In November 2024, we hosted a First Annual Free Tire Recycling Day, at the Oregon Caves Chevron. The event was an enormous success: we collected and sent away around 2,000 old tires!
So we are doing it again in 2025! This year’s event will be May 25th, 2025, from 9 till noon, at the Oregon Caves Chevron. There will be no limit on the number of tires that people are allowed to bring. However! We do have a few important rules:
- No split rims!
- No semi tires!
- Household / personal tires only

Oregon Caves Chevron – for the infrastructure, help with planning, and the staff who knew what they were doing and worked so hard all day!
Cave Junction Farmers’ Market – for being such an awesome non-profit organization and sponsoring and promoting this project!
Lakin and Liberty Tire – (especially Arlene!), for making sure we had trailers at the event to dispose of the tires in!
All the community members who took the time to bring their tires to us, instead of letting them sit out back, or dumping them in the woods!
And all the volunteers who helped unload ALL THOSE TIRES on Tire Day!
